A spectacular edge with our new spectrometer
Weco is focused on service excellence through continuous improvements, and therefore we have recently added a Thermo Scientific Niton XRF spectrometer to our Quality Assurance Department. The Thermo Scientific Niton is a spectrometer that offers superior detection limits and exceptionally fast measurement times. It allows us to get lab-quality results in our factory with no damage to the sample, and to analyse nearly every element in all types of metal alloys, including copper, stainless steels, nickels, cobalt and more. This also means we can now print our own certificates listing alloy grade and chemistry, in-house. Previously, we could send material to a lab to be analysed. This, however, would take 5 to 7 working days, plus transport time, and time waiting for reports to be issued from the lab.
